Terms of use

Gamershelf lets you rank every game you've played and share your shelf. By using it, you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, so please do.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms too. One account per person, and keep your sign-in details to yourself: you're responsible for what happens on your account.

Your stuff

Your rankings, notes, usernames and posts are yours. By putting them on Gamershelf, you let us store them and show them the way you choose (for example, on a public shelf, in friends' feeds, in share pictures and in crowd averages, which combine many shelves without naming anyone). You can delete them any time.

Be decent

Don't use Gamershelf to:

• harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or post hateful, sexual or illegal content (usernames and notes included);
• post other people's private information;
• spam, scrape the site in bulk, or make accounts automatically;
• break, overload or get around the site's security, or access other people's accounts.

We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Game information

Game titles, covers, screenshots, trailers and ratings come from IGDB and belong to their owners. Gamershelf isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any game publisher or console maker. Console photos are credited on the shelves where they appear.

The site itself

Gamershelf is free and provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and features may change or end. To the extent the law allows, Gamershelf isn't liable for indirect or incidental losses from using the site, including lost data. Download a copy of your shelf from Settings if it matters to you.

Ending things

You can delete your account any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, or close the site; if we ever shut down, we'll give notice so you can download your shelf.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you about big changes. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
